Facelift Front Lights

Obviously a few of you have done this already and some have done it more than once. Do I really need to buy the Powerful prewired plug to connect the new front lights (which I haven't bought yet) or is it just a case of swapping and soldering a few wires - I assume the Powerful option exists for a reason but I can easily cut resolder and shrink wrap wires - or am I missing something (I normally am Very Happy ). Geoff

I just did the front headlights on my 04. If you want to save yourself some time and have the job done right, buy the prewired plugs.

You don't have to necessarily buy them from PowerfulUK, Simtek.co.uk also has the (Prewired and Bare) connectors that you need. The prewired connectors item# is CON-266 I believe. I personally bought just the bare plugs from simtek and thought I would just wire the harness from the RR straight into the plugs, take my word for it, buy the prewired plugs, it really really saves a lot of time, hastle, confusion and general disarray ahaha. I slightly messed up one wire on my right side plug and am now ordering a prewired plug for my passenger side in case the current plug (which I messed up) does start to cause problems. Shoot me a pm if you need any help regarding the conversion, I'll be glad to help.
