It is correct, I've never owned an LPG car, as they are fine when they are working but a right pain when they are not. I do know people with them though, so my comment is not without substance.
I also like to have a spare wheel in case of a puncture, and not to die in a fireball if someone runs into the side of me, though that comment is based on Hollywood movies
Seriously though, I will agree a V8 petrol suits the rr better, but having had one, albeit a classic, I got sick of driving somewhere and having to save up to come back......
If LPG is for you, and you get a good system, it will tick all the boxes. You can either buy a nice cheap rr and put the LPG system of your choice on, fitted by an installer of repute and your choosing and have a new system with warranty etc, or buy a rr with LPG already fitted and trust it's a good one.
Do not do what my mate did which was to buy one with LPG and then wish he'd had a later system fitted to his spec.......
That said, my td6 is quicker than my V8 classic and once you are up and running, I don't notice it's a diesel as I have the music up a bit.......
The choice as they say, is yours......
