Front Bumper Mud Flaps?

Hi guys

Bit of a strange one. But what would you guys call the short "mud flap" looking things that bolt on the front bumper?

When mine was converted there was no stock of them and so I wanna get a set. From pics they look about 4inch deep and bolt to front bumper in front of the front wheels?
Also..... What the hell are they for? They look the same as the ones halfway along the floor pan of a Saab!

I have them on mine and can't remember what they are called. I think they are more for asethetics rather than function. Present :2008 TDV8 HSE

Soz - not sure what they're called but I believe they are there to reduce the amount of over bonnet spray you get when driving through decent sized puddles.

I remember Quentin Wilson (I think) while testing the P38 Range Rover making a comment about the 'Motorway Ride Height', he said something like 'I don't see a one inch drop making much of a difference to a car with the aerodynamics of a slightly rounded brick'

on our 2010 fl2 they were to reduce windscreen being obliterated by water if going through a bif puddle
