I think it will have a very short shelf life... Fully synthetic oils will surely be made to bio degrade to some extent over time? Our supermarket shopping bags degrade on the shelf by around 6 months old... |

Oil often has that little foil seal inside the screw top. If the seal is intact, I think the shelf live would be much longer than when it's been opened (even with the cap screwed down tight).
