Evening chaps,

it sounds a bit like a borrower playing a single note on a harmonica from in the dash.

It only occurs on acceleration and only recently started doing it.

any pointers on where to start looking will be great.

it doesn't do it when stationary. can this still be the alternator?

are there any ways to diagnose this?

Mm possibly not then as should be present in stationary. As Alan says might be blower. If you turn off blower does it still happen? Just wondering also might be some dry leaves stuck in vent or something due to time of year? Also is windscreen rubbers etc all okay as sometimes this becomes loose and makes the noise you describe. Present :2008 TDV8 HSE

I too wondered about leaves, but why only when accelerating? Same with windscreen rubbers.

Could be really simple or a pain in the bum to locate.

I had an issue with the plastic cover on the pollen filter vibrating at motorway speeds which sounded like a bee in the vent, but that did it above a certain speed. No acceleration needed.... 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8
