New Zealand 2010 Range Rover Autobiography 5.0 SC V8 Galway Green

In cold climates I also have my fluo/reflective offshore work jacket and pants, plus lined gloves and these days I have latex gloves in the car as well (and use them for all my work on bikes and cars to prevent dirty hands and cancer).

Monkey, I have made my own case like that as I have soo many tools that I can probably fill 3 of those cases like that. Not all are top quality tools but good enough for roadside work. What I do need is a decent briefcase or toolbox for the car but will have it made or make it myself. Just a flat one that sits on the bottom, with drawers with compartments. And then for the hiking etc. I will make an additional layer or two that bolt together on top of the tool box.

It won't look as smart as the shootbox made by the yachting carpenter we saw on here recently but still it will look stylish and keep the back tidy looking Smile. MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!

A very tidy looking boot there Thumbs Up Where did you get your boot protector from? a really weird question but does it smell? Laughing Mine came with a cheapo one and the whole car smelt of rubber inside really bad so i threw it away but now obviously need another.

Thanks for the "tidy" comment this is the one I purchased nil smell at all pretty tough as well we drag our camp esky in and out when on trips and has survived well. It's made in China surprise surprise so should be available on UK ebay.

Another non rubber (PE) boot liner, quite cheap and supposedly as strong as the thicker rubber ones.

That one looks the the same as the one the wife has in her car every time you drag something out the mat comes with you it slides too easy and drives me bonkers. This one stays in place I was concerned about the strength when I got it but that was misplaced. Another advantage is it retains it's shape so to clean I just pull it out lean it against a fence and hose off.

Folding Shovel / Entrenching tool

Last year the body count rose significantly so I invested in one of these....

http://cpc.farnell.com/_/bb-ce108/shovel-f...is%20Range

I was very pleased with the weight and sturdyness of it and for the price it was excellent.

The blade includes a saw so you can adjust even the largest client with just one tool.

As a result productivity has increased and now I have more room in the freezers.

Just got the chains out of the garage, into the boot, and also the El cheapo entrenching tool has arrived, seems ok for a few quid occasional use! There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

I normally use the Peter Sellers method myself.

Quote:
Sellers turned up at Spike Milligan's late in the night , told him of the strange sound coming from the rear of the car when driving over bumps. Spike was given a torch and a piece of chalk and instructed to get into the boot of the car ... and Spike did so.

Sellers proceeded to then drive the car , up and down the kerbs of the pavements , trying to illicit the mystery noise .

The police saw this car "drunkenly" mounting the pavement and swerving all over the road .

They pulled Sellers over , and suspicious of something weird going on, searched the car.

When opening the boot, they were presented with the sight of Spike in his pijama's, eerily illuminated by the torch and still clutching the chalk.

"Oh it's you" said the police.
