Hello Gents

Heading off for a some gentle offroading today and want to remove the 2 black plastic winglets that hang down off the bottom of the front bumper in front of the wheels (to prevent them getting ripped off on a steep gradient).

I don't want to just rag them off if there is an easy way to remove....any advice?

Do the not just screw off. From what I've seen there are a couple of screw fixings behind them up into the bumper. Could be wrong tho. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Cheers...spotted the screws once I had a torch...also removed the front lower black plastic splitter too (just incase I needed to access the towing eye)

Paul, the little white fixings just wriggle off too and normally get lost when the screws are not holding them in place pal

Did you manage to get these removed and refitted Paul?

I'm struggling to get them to fit on mine with the bumper on. I have only had a quick look in the dark with a crap torch so I might see something else in daylight tomorrow.

Hopefully won't need to remove the bumper.

Yes DH...easy enough . There's 2 screws up under each winglet that you undo and then slide the winglet rearwards to remove

Once you have them off , (as Craig said) if you're not refitting right away, remove the White plastic clips that the screws came out of, as they're a to find if they fall off

I'm fitting them to my SC for the first time. I've got the white clips that go onto the lower valance and I've got the diffusers to go on too.

I had a very brief look tonight but could't seem to get the diffuser back far enough to get the tongues on the valance to engage on the diffuser.

Hopefully daylight tomorrow will give us a better chance

Hoping I've got the right screws for it. LR don't list them as a part and there's none in the packet with the diffuser which is a right !

I've got some pan head no.4's and some no.5's here so hoping one of the two will be the right size!!

I dont think little winglets are the biggest of your worries

David, the torx screw's that holds all the lower dash parts together, glovebox, plastic panels and the wood/piano panel next to your knee...
If you remove one then match it to what you have, you will be on the right track sir

Progress today was scuppered when I ventured outside all ready to make a start and realised that SWMBO had disappeared in the SC!!

So the weekend is over and it's still only got the parts sitting in the boot!
