Just re-read my post and it seems a bit strong but then I have just got back from the pub , but yes 40 mpg is just plain silly .

you forget that i'm old and i've had my 'youth' years where i did fast motoring..radio 2 and and a steady 70 mph, ahh heaven. ... - .- -.
