New "take offs" on an L322

Well its getting time for some new rear tyres, but with prices at around £200/corner fitted are "take offs" the way to go - same price but effectively free wheels Very Happy .

There is a slight size difference 255 55 20 as opposed to 255 50 20 but does it really matter someone must have experience of doing this by now.

I'm thinking of four things - if there's more let me know:

1. MOT
2. Insurance
3. Safety
4.How much will the speedo be out and can this be corrected on a MY2010 so it reads right.

Before anyone starts picking on me (Im sensitive) the things above are not in any order and, yes there's really five and I will do all four corners Very Happy Geoff

isn't that the size for the RRS? so may those wheels not have the loading capability?
worth checking

Had them on for over a year now including 2 mots in a RR main dealer, no problems.

Speed seems ok but odometer under reads, nor sure but it may have been the same with the last tyres.

Pictures of mine in the gallery.
