What are these all about?

Sort of like bump strip door protector things, but they don't seem to be standard?
Anyone know where they come from and more importantly can they be removed or will the doors have been hacked up in order to fit these things?

Also with these, are they easily removable without leaving lasting signs or will there be drill holes that were made to fasten them on?

Looking at a FF with both of these fitted, but would prefer it without these extras!

Thanks in advance

Not sure about the side protectors but would assume they aren't just stick on.

The front light grilles can be removed but are fixed to the wings by rivnuts, so will leave 2 holes in each wing...... Not ideal.
Made the same mistake myself, ended up having the holes ally welded up and the wing painted. Pita..... There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

They look like old RR Sport HSE 19" wheels on the top one - not fullfat wheels Whistle

They are stuck on with a double sided tape running all round the edges.
Removing them won't cause a problem unless they have been stuck over some damage.
They appear to be genuine FFRR accessories which are now unavailable so could be quite sell-able.
The best way to get them off is to inset a thin rigid piece of plastic along the top edge and then run it along the edge cutting the double sided tape as you go. Do the top and end edges, peel back and do the bottom edge.
Once removed you will find a strip of adhesive which you can remove by soaking with white spirit or WD 40. Once removed clean and polish, you'll never know they had been there. Thumbs Up

So not riveted on then, but the grilles still a pain.

Recommend a toffee wheel for removing the sticky stuff, go slow and easy with it tho. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Make sure the paint around them is original too... Seen body shops mask around them and paint the lower section of the door... So, if you removed them you would be left with a bit of a mare sir Whistle

The side strips are stick on and are the same as the ones I had on my D3. They were also the same part # for the RRS. If you position them right, they will stop car park dings from other peoples' doors. They will also, in my experience, eventually peel off. I went through 2 sets. They don't peel paint when they come off, but they do leave a lot of difficult to remove glue from the double-sided tape.

As to the headlamp grilles, on the Disco they attached via a bit of metal that went between the light and the bodywork, so they could be fitted without any additional drilling. 2019 Range Rover P400e
