get it warm and look at the live readings to see how hot its realy getting

Could just be it's been unplugged, or there is a known fault that water leaks into the plug, then wicks it's way up the wires and into the engine ECU and rots the ECU out as well.... so check the wiring and plug, if it is fitted, it's directly below the air intake pipe where it goes into the manifold, much easier if you remove this pipe first.... Thanks will check live values, and physical plug condition, seems to be a lot of info to lower temp by modifying housing and changing thermostat |

Yep, it just runs so hot as standard, can't be good for an aging engine, also helps with all the plastic and rubber items under the bonnet...
