Thank guys, I did read the reviews on Tripadvisor, but having read reviews and then stayed in hotels, I've often wondered if I'd booked a different place

Was at Cromlix last week...not impressed

Fonab much better and has just the right atmosphere for a dirty weekend!!!...As John says Cromlix not that impressive and looks much the same as before apart from the new Roux restaurant but that in all honesty is no more than a diner  The forums premier drug dealer and human trafficking consultant

The new restaurant is the worst part of Cromlix, food was ok but poor service and a lot of noise from the cooking area doesn't really do it for me when I'm trying to have a conversation whilst eating.


Kinnaird House just outside Pitlochry used to be one of my favourite places. Sadly I think it's just a B&B now though
