Only put my winter tyres on yesterday - it's been so mild.

Down to 3°c today and there may be snow. There's snow on the mountains, but there has been for a few months now.

Left the house at 5:45am today, pitch black and snowing like !
Good half an inch of snow on the road, until I got to Caldbeck, by which time it had all disappeared.
Still ruddy cold though and keeps hailing every now and again.
Might get some playtime in the FF later this evening if it hasn't melted by the time I've finished work. !

Got a little bit of sleet this morning, no sticking no actual snow😢. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Andy, no surprise there! In a former life and former job I've been on the Macc side of the Cat and Fiddle guiding motorists down from the snow. Both Cheshire and Derbyshire never put enough grit down to keep it open and they aren't exactly quick in bothering to clear it when it's fully snowed over.
Shame about your tyres. Travelling around in circles again.

Was going to take some this morning Will it was a blizzard on the tops but not enough on the ground yet. Usual selection of people struggling in less than 1/2" of snow.
Sky looks full and just been trying again so maybe take some photographs on the way home.  Mine was a blue one!
