I'm friends with a Police Officer and part of her job was to visit families to break the news that their loved ones had been killed by a drunk driver or by a driver losing control while using a mobile phone or speeding.
Needless to say that she and her colleagues show no sympathy to anyone caught. Geoff

The point was Geoff, that add was deemed "too offensive!"

I personally prefer the Aussie approach of "shock & awe" Thumbs Up

When i was young there was a campaign that ran one year with a song playing "what a w4nker" in the background... Its the only one ever that made me sit up and look twice! And i was the target audience!

I've seen the Aussie TAC ads and theyre harrowing but to the point. I still enjoy getting battered when the opportunity presents itself but that ain't when I'm driving Very Happy Geoff

Doesn't work though. It only shocks right thinking people and even some of those who are as nonchalant as I am about such adverts. The thing is, I don't need to watch blood guts and gore to understand that operating any kind of machinery whilst distracted or impaired is a really bad idea.

Same as everything in life. For those who know, no explanation is necessary and for those who are too stupid to figure it out for themselves, no explanation will work.
