No experience with the Michelins - but I can comment on size as we are running 275/45/20 in General Grabber AT on several vehicles, as they are not available in 255, the 275/45 profile is the closest you will find to 255/50 profile - AND this is fact, this size & profile they are 100% fine absolutely no issues and the rolling radius is as near as dammit the same as 255/50. If anything the vehicle benefits from a slightly wider tyre as it helps get the power on the road.
