Would anybody have any thoughts on the theory that their FF could be getting woken up by home WIFI, Garage or Gate Remote activation?.

i doubt it paul, wifi is on 2.4 and 5 ghz ....the 433 mhz band is quite large and although on the same frequency the remotes are of low power ...
but its not unheard of that emergency/public services close by using there radios can sometimes cause interference but these are rare cases.. ... - .- -.
