Hello all. First post here, I have just bought a 2006 4.2 Supercharged Vogue SE. It needs a number of small jobs to fix some electrical issues and make it look nicer (clean and like it looked when it left the factory!) - once the initial work has been done I will take some photos.

I was underneath today and noticed the power steering cooler is leaking, looked like it has maybe been hit by a stone. On this age of FFRR should there be a grille covering the lower air intakes below the main part of the bumper? My car has some mesh stuck in there, but it doesn't look like a professional job. A quick search reveals the earlier cars don't come with grilles protecting this area and various aftermarket options, but I cant dig up anything for my age of car.

Can anyone confirm if there should be a grille there or not. Many thanks.

Thanks I am assuming the front bumper didnt change much between 2006 and 2009? The area I have circled in red is what I am trying to describe. Is there any mesh in those slots to stop stones etc?

By the looks of it you don't run any and I assume LR thought a grille wasn't necessary. So I may just remove the heath robinson effort on mine! Unless anyone with more experience of these vehicles says that is a bad idea?!
