I also have a Discovery 1 V8 for off-roading. It hasn't been used for a few months and when I opened the door I found condensation and that famous Land Rover waterproofing had done their toll: it was WET and had been for a long while. I put a heater in it and that dried it out. However, the seats (leather) belts, etc have some furry mood on them. It's an off-road vehicle, so I'm not going to do a full detail on it. But I hope some members here with detailing knowledge could tell me how to easily clean up the inside (leather & seat belts).

As above, a damp cloth and take a ride, heater on let it dry. My old cars are in a dry garage and in a carcoon and even then I sometimes find the same fur. Then I realize again that having driven the car in the wet it is not smart to park them immediately in the carcoon.

I was worried that a quick wipe with a wet rag would just invite it to come back. I'll try the wipe and I've got some mold/mildew cleaner today I case it's needed.

And once you've cleaned it all up (as best you can) maybe think about throwing in some of those silica gel pouches (like you get in a new computer/tv box). That should attract the damp in future.

A cheap way would be a couple of small bowls of rice if not.... Ash

Kitty Litter A bowl of kitty litter will help stop it happening again.... absorbs all the moisture in the air, although may not be as effcetive in a L/R product, but works well in the caravan, re think fill the car up with kitty litter  Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!

It FINALLY stopped raining yesterday, so I gave it a good clean and it looks a lot better. It will never be perfect.

The desiccant is doing its thing, but disappearing quickly, so I think I'll try the Kitty Litter idea. I left a heater going in there last night, so things should be better.
