I am looking into having my brembo calipers rebuilt at a company in Long eaton. Was thinking of whipping them off on the drive, and taking them in. Not too bothered about getting them repainted, more about getting the internals replaced as I think they might be sticking and the last couple of times I have had the pads out the dust seals looked a bit shonky.

The plan is to clam the hoses off remove the caliper and put the wheels back on. The question is, is there any special method of bleeding required for the front brakes, i am pretty sure there are 2 bleed nipples to deAl with on each caliper, but apart from that?

 There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

This is the procedure listed in the 4.2SC section of the workshop manual.

Note that the manual simply distinguishes by referring to vehicles with high performance brakes and so the procedure will be the same regardless of petrol/ Diesel engine. The front Brembo calipers have bleed nipples.

They are around £300 a side for factory refurb'd units from MD if that helps any? Dan'll quote you happy

cheers chaps, Might have a shout at Dan as the lead time for the refubs was 5-7 days which could be a little problematic having the car out of service that long.  There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

NMJ if you go the factory refurb route then gloss Black ones (from the early SC) are the same price/same fitment/part and look much nicer
