MPG

Hello there, I am currently a Defender owner at the moment and love my Landies. I am seriously considering moving on to a Range Rover though. Can anyone tell me what the best MPG I would expect to get if cruising at say 60pmh in a TD6.

Thanks Richard Thumbs Up

PS aplogies if this topic has already been done to death elsewhere, I could'nt find one

on a run @ that speed about 25-30 is about right give or take a few variables , and around town i average 20-23 ish , or to put it a different way if i fill up about £80-£100 i get about 400-500 miles to a tank i hope this helps as its only a guide due to too many variable i.e your driving style , wheels / tyres condition of vehicle and so on Thumbs Up Thumbs Up Thumbs Up p.s dont worry about the fuel when your passengers can watch dvd's in the back and your lovely and warm with the heated steering wheel on and you dont have to scrape the snow / ice off the screen because youve had the FBH on it kind of becomes irrelevent youll love it. onto no6 Range Rover

Mr Woo

My 4.4 V8 petrol returns 20mpg combined according to the computer but in reality is 18mpg. On the motorway cruising I get an indicated 25mpg which is again probably about 23 or so. Keep diesel for tractors and get yourself a petrol you cant beat the sound and comfort of a pukka V8. Thumbs Up

Used to get 25 ish out of my TD6 and drove it like I stole it! also got loads of pleasure bombing past petrol FFRR's at supersonic speeds who were trying their best to get decent MPG. Whats the point having a petrol if you can't afford to run it - unless you fancy gas!!! Otherwise buy a proper V8 a TDV8 Wink

P.S. I own both petrol and diesel Range Rovers, and the petrol can be down to 10mpg on short runs driven hard Shocked a diesel would still give 23 / 24 mpg.

My figs are all actual mpg worked back from litres used to miles travelled.

Hi There,

Thats at 70 mph, I thought it was even better until I realised that the computer was set up in KPH.

I am very impressed. Just been from sheffield to the Lakes and back on a full tank plus driving around while there.

it is a lot better than I thought it would be. 4.4 V8 Vogue Adriatic - Cream leather
