G'day all

A few pics from Five Finger Reef, just south of Coral Bay on the west coast of Aus. Beautiful secluded beach, 4wd access only, through some soft sand and a bit of beach driving. Fatty handled it with ease. Tyres down to 18PSI, sand mode, low range, and DSC off, didn't even raise a sweat!

The snorkelling around this area is straight off the beach. About 3m deep, prefect visibility. Swimming with turtles, multitude of fish, corals etc. Perfect spot to pitch our beach tent and laze the day away with a beer or six

You can't drive on it, and who would want to,

You couldn't put a tent up because of the wind,

You could swim in it and admire the local sewage outlet, if you had a survival suit and decontamination suite set up...............

Pete, you forgot to mention, you'd freeze to death no matter what you are wearing. Why the heck did you think I left that part of Europe .

To be honest, the coast around here, especially the little island resort, is also quite nice but WA is something special (at least to me, I would move back there in a heartbeat if there was decent work). MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!

Well ladies and gents, the weather was vastly improved today (36 deg Celsius rather than yesterday's chilly 34 degrees ), so we headed back to the same spot we went yesterday.

As you can see, there are fewer clouds today, and the nicer weather has brought more people out. We don't like it when the beaches get this crowded!
