Hello

This has probably been raised before but my iPhone 5S wont connect with the car. It accepts it OK as "trusted" and charges, but I cant play any music. Is this a dealer software update for my 2011 AB or is there something else I can do?

Are you are using the LR cable with the I-Phone 4 connector with the I-Phone 5 adaptor?

I have the curly cable attached to my ipod 160gb. There is a usb socket where I have connected my iPhone 5 s 2005 L322 Vogue Gold gone

Ah ha, you will need to attach your I-Phone 5S to the curly cable. I don't think the USB will pick up an I-Phone music library. I have my I-Phone 6 connected via a Viseeo Tune2Air bluetooth dongle and a USB stick plugged into the USB port for all the other music.

seems to be afeature: same here. Iphone 6 connects to USB and you "trust" the system, it charges but you can't access music.
Needs to be either done by the ipod connector or bluetooth module through Ipod connector.

at least you can charge your phone....

I use my old Ipod nano for music via the curly cable.

why bother with a phone for music?

I have one of these filled with my iTunes library permanently fixed in the USB socket. small enough to not be knocked and always ready.

Just bought a tune 2 air, this has a usb connector. The car never had the LR iPod lead when I bought it , do I need a genuine lead to make it work? Or can I use a standard 30 pin to female usb connector? Thoughts greatly appreciated.

Hi,

I assume your Tune2Air has I-Phone 4 as input and as such you will need the LR cable to connect to the head unit via the cubby port.
