Never a good idea buying an ex demo car......lots (possibly hundreds) of different drivers all kicking its **** in trying to see how fast the begger can go and stop. Salesman of the day gets to take it home, so he stops off at his mates house and they go out for a bit of off roading, power slides etc.....

I actually started my budget at 26K for a 2006, then preferred the new dash layout of the 2007 and up'ed it to 40K... Than realised that I needed to spend 44K on a 2008 with the spec I wanted... Might as well spend another 10K and get a 2010 with the new dash... OK, it's not a SE but I can live with that because of the new interior, front bumper and seats...

the only problem is you will lose £28k over the next 3 years - minimum - been there done that

the only problem is you will lose £28k over the next 3 years - minimum - been there done that

prices are artifically high at the moment - prices in three years time will have tumbled - the new model will be out - and a lot of us are hanging on until then to change our vehicles - no other reason to change at the moment, other than the new 4.4 and unless you change your car every 12 months there is little point doing that until the new model is out.

Unfortunately I agree with this.
I would not be surprised to lose 20k on my 08 VSE in the next two and a half/three years before I change again.
Prices are too high currently and we'll all be driving the 'old model' in a few years.

There is a shortage of good second hand stock around 08/58 due to sales dropping then when we had the credit crunch, which is probably keeping prices higher.
