I thought this was a cracking idea and wanted one … until I discovered that there are two versions of this product: one is compatible with “mini-blade” fuses, the other “maxi-blade” fuses. Most of the fuses (on my FF at least) are “regular” blade size.
I contacted Maplin; they told me they do not stock a version of this tool which is compatible with regular fuses …
And I haven’t found one anywhere else, boo  It's "bébéchoon", ackcherly, with accents. 'Steve' to my chums.

On this site they state it is for standard fuses. Maybe they have listed the Maxi one up wrong as it looks the same. Maybe someone could take a fuse into Maplin to check.

You buy the "maxi" size blade which equates to a "regular" in the UK and fits the FFRR perfectly.

Maplin confirmed their tool was definitely for the “Mini” and “Maxi” blade sizes, not the “Regular” blade (which incidentally has a slight cut-out at the top insides of the blades which the “Maxi” does not have – see diags on the Wikipedia page).

On the same page of the Conrad site for which you gave the link, a little lower down in the “Customers who viewed this product were also interested in” section, there is another product at £4.99. Opening this page, this one is marked “Compatible with – Mini-blade type car fuses”, and it also looks just like the Maplin “Mini” one. Same suppliers?

I’m now going to contact Conrad with the same question as I put to Maplin. But maybe as you say it needs someone to go in with a fuse to check. I’d be happy to oblige for the good of the Forum (and for myself!), but I live a little too far away (South of France) Any volunteers?
