.....and we wonder why so many cyclists are killed and injured on our roads every year Rolling Eyes

I hope she's prosecuted for something more than a minor offence - "driving without due care and attention" seems to fit the bill Thumbs Up

United Kingdom 2014 Range Rover Vogue SE SDV8 Corris Grey

Been going on for years TBH. It's not exactly new. I recall back in the days when car phones were fixed in the car I was going to London on the M40 and a guy in a Merc was on the phone (tucked between head and shoulder) and shaving with a cordless razor at the same time. definitely not got his mind on the job in hand, i.e. driving.

Mind you, I'm not sure who the cyclist thinks he is in the video. Maybe the self righteous dumb-ass thinks he's the 5-0 or summat, not sure. Either way he wasn't exactly a paragon of virtue with his riding or indeed his abusive behaviour towards the driver. They should both be charged. Wrong is wrong, even if done for the right reasons, no excuses. All he had to do was provide the video from his helmet can to the police, but no, he had to shout his mouth off. Idiots, the pair of them.

"self righteous dumb-ass"

.......would that be self righteous because unlike many people he's not just going to turn a blind eye when someone is doing something so blatantly dangerous and against the law - in my book too many people turn the other way when they should speak up.

.......not sure on what basis he can be branded a dumb-ass (or using the British definition "brainless and stupid") - is that because he doesn't fit with everyone's view of what action he should or shouldn't have taken ?? Or is there other evidence that means that you can justify branding him "brainless and stupid" ??

"thinks he's in 5-0 or summat"

........because asks he her to stop being dangerous and breaking the law - really ??

"but no he had to shout his mouth off"

.......probably at the end of his tether and witnessing similarly stupid and dangerous driving on a daily basis - I thought his demeanour and language (pre watershed any day of the week) were measured and not particularly abusive, given what he'd witnessed.

Not sure what laws the cyclist might have broken - although he is a cyclist, and that seems to be enough for some people - and that is me done with this thread Thumbs Up

Why is the cost of the car relevant?

Would the headline "woman in £300 banger caught munching at the wheel" have had the same effect?

Dumb in either case Censored Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue
Had- 2008 TDV8 Vogue SE in Java black

So she had one hand on the wheel and the other on the spoon eating cereal ... how is that any different than smokers who have a cigarette in one hand and then have to look down to flick the ashes in the ashtray???

I don't condone what she was doing, but it isn't any different than someone with a cigarette, coffee cup, bottle of water, handsfree mobile phone, etc, etc, etc 2015 RR ATB (Scotia Grey w/Cirrus-Ebony)

^ you just beat me to it.
She is an idiot but yes, smoking. Technically you are not fully in control if you are holding a ciggy.
She deserves to be prosecuted but that cyclist is a knob. Cycling between the cars and then holding up the traffic to tell the blue car why he had acted that way. I hate unregulated road users. Previously..

My 2p...

When i have had operations in the past, my consultant when asked “when can i drive again?” has always said “it can only be YOUR decision” meaning I have to be 100% sure i can brake in a split second without thinking “will this hurt” as by then, it will be TOO late, the accident will have happened!

Apply the same rules (i.e. the law) to driving with a cereal bowl in your lap!

This is obviously NOT a person using common sense & good decision making skills! This is just another average modern day arrogant british road user. The same that hogs the middle lane, parks where they like (even causing wheelchair users & young mums grief) using their phone whilst driving and does so for 10,768 days without incident...

the 10,769th day was the day their luck ran out! All that arrogance! Someones mum, dad, sister, brother or child usually suffers/dies because of it!!!

THROW THE BOOK AT HER!!! make the public take note of others stupidity! Maybe just maybe, it’ll make just a few think!
