Big thanks to GAP and BAS

just wanted to say a big thanks to Pat at GAP and Pete at BAS for their excellant service during my recent addition of the FFRR to my IIDTool and the subseqent remap.

its not often you get almost instant replies and help to get unlock codes issued etc.

Also wanted to say the IIDTool , its software and the interaction between BAS and GAP to transfer files between their two systems and subsequently onto the IIDTool etc etc is perfect.

Well Done to all AKA DiscoDunc

certainly worth considering Thumbs Up . ive only done a couple of mile so cant really give any opinion, but it feels much better, and loads more torque. on the short distance I did the instant mpg seemed better as well.

next week will be the test when i do a few long journeys AKA DiscoDunc

First of all - it's easy to switch back and forth between the STD and BAS Remap using the IIDTool BT. The BAS Remap increases the torque, with the effect that the TDV8 hangs more onto a higher gear when driving uphill / under acceleration, making the ride even more pleasant. I haven't noticed a significant increase in the MPG figures, however (did only use the STD map for two weeks before shifting to the BAS remap).

done a few hundred miles now and its all quite refined with no drama - as you would expect from a FFRR Wink

mpg is sitting at around 29 for mway driving (according the lie-ometer) and the acceleration is smooth with fewer changes down to 5th.

stick your foot to the floor though....... and it goes like a scalded cat Thumbs Up AKA DiscoDunc
