Hello all,

I want to remove the rear Landcover oval badge in order to fit a silver/black one.
What is the best way for getting this off without damaging the panel.

All suggestions welcome.

That sounds like just the ticket, thanks guys.

To get the sticky off get a toffee wheel off eBay. Fits in your drill, made of rubber, will gently on a slow speed erase the glue. Gently does it though so you don't damage the paint. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

To be honest I had never heard of such a thing, checked eBay and they're not expensive so i'll get one.

Bit of petrol on a rag is cheaper....  Pete

The rubber wheels are fantastic at removing the glue!

I know mate, they are very good, but if he's only removing one then a bit of petrol is cheaper and I've found the Land Rover glue to be pretty easy to get off.... Pete

I used boiling water when i replaced the oval Land Rover / Supercharged badge on the tailgate.
I carefully poured the water over the badges in turn then, with my fingernail and a thin piece of plastic slowly lifted one corner,and pulled each badge off.
The glue residue came off easily with WD40 and there was no damage to my paintwork.

So the job is done. In the end I went with boiling water to soften the glue. I then used dental floss to slide under the badge and it came off reasonably easily. Then used petrol to clean off the residue, which it did easily and with no damage.
