My 2008 3.6tdv8 with 112000 miles on it is feeling poorly.
It has started smoking very heavily under heavy load during the acceleration cycle.
And drops into engine fault mode every so often.
Top hoses were changed 18 months ago after a similar issue, and I have pressure tested them and they are fine.
I have taken off the LH bottom hose and it is fine, but cannot get to the top clip on the RH lower hose so have done a good visual on it with the bottom clip off and it is also looking OK
There is slight oil inside the RH hose, and none in the LH hose, I assume to do with the breather on the crankcase.
Martin has put the bluetooth OBD plug he has onto the car and both turbos and all their associated actuators and air flow units are matched for pressures and volumes, so no obvious problems.
There is no smoke at tickover or when revs are increased at standstill, but towing my 2.7 tonne trailer at the weekend resulted in a black fog over the A34!!

It probably needs to go to Camtech for a good seeing to.

Maybe the EGRs are clogging up and causing issues ??? MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !!

I'd try a dose of Revive, particularly if you do a fair bit of city driving. I've used it twice now. ______________________________

I have been looking after the RR for a bit and can confirm that the air filters are fine.

The error code that comes up with the ESF is the same as when the top hoses go (P023D-21), but it is not them.

The code suggests a right hand boost leak but running the car with the IID Tool live traces doesn't show any obvious problem comparing left to right

I don't believe there is a way to drive the various actuators (turbo actuator, I was thinking) with the IID and monitor the output?

Did you find the problem ?

Not yet, all the boost pressures look fine.
