Isn't that actually Vulcan meets Vulcan...

For those that are interested keep an eye on their website (the one that does 8 gallons to the mile, wait that doesn't narrow it down ). They've been doing a lot of aerial photography this season and mentioned at the event up in Gaydon last weekend there's a lot coming out in time for Christmas.

On the plus side, although they don't fly directly along the lines it'll be coming straight over my house tomorrow.  Ed

Probably real photo. I know the trust did a "photoshoot" bring new and old together. Besides if it were Photoshop they'd have lost the plumes of black smoke coming out the back of XH558...  Ed

On it's farewell tour it took off from Doncaster at 1pm and was due to be here at 6 minutes past, then turn and head south... we went to stand outside to see it, it was a couple of minutes late and it then came into sight, banked hard over just above the house across the road... It was so close you could have read the size of tyres if the carriage had been down... absolutely stunning, last saw it at Biggin Hill years ago....

If I'd known it was going to be so close I'd have got my camera out

Amasing how they make it so quiet as it comes towards you, was nearly as loud as the FF when going away....  Pete

Always loved the Vulcan and is probably the main reason I watch James Bond Thunderball - mesmerised as a child the first time I saw it.

There was a program on some time ago about the Airport Runway bombing raid it carried out in the Falklands - most of the Vulcans in the raid had to drop out due to failures along the way, and the logistics for re-fueling before and after the raid were a nightmare. (Sorry hijack thread - will stop now) Howard

loads of sightings then, I also saw the Vulcan over the New Forest (brockenhurst) about 2 months ago! super excited, but the rest of the car wondered what I was banging on about..... There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

I've just moved house - and on Saturday I went outside to watch it - surprisingly it did a loop round in the field out the back of my house. Nice - about 3 hrs. later I hear a jet engine noise whilst I'm sorting out boxes in my office and went back out - low an behold the Vulcan was back - proceeded to do about 6 or 7 loops power on climbs low passes and allsorts!

Looking later at the map I live near what was RAF Breighton - there was a helicopter and it was doing filming.

I consider myself very lucky to have moved in just in time!
