Viper what is the mileage? My experience with this unfortunately is I have a 112000 mile tdv8 with a sticky egr valve that pings up the engine system fault during hard acceleration. This is cleared if you turn off and on the ignition. I haven't checked the turbo hoses but just yesterday had a mobile chappie put his diagnostic machine on which showed one valve open at 12% which was imbalanced to the other. Like northern says check the pipes first as it's well cheaper. Do you get a groaning noise on the right? |

mileage is 83k, cant say I can hear a groaning noise. I will get the hoses checked first, how does one check for a sticking valve |

With a diagnostic tool, it can measure the amount that the valves are open and see if one sticks open slightly.

50mm split in driver side hose , underneath right near the front jubilee clip , clue was some blown oil residue on the coolant expansion bottle. Looking at about 40 beer tokens for a genuine one

There is a post about a silicone house set on here from a UK manufacturer. Maybe worth investing in the house set that is supposedly much sturdier and more durable.
