Well I wavered, thought about the planet and ordered a new Volvo XC90 Hybrid in April. Call it a mid-life crisis.

But I have come to my senses. I was preparing the fatty for sale and thought hang on - this is the best car I have ever owned - why am I selling it! - Just driven 12 hrs back from the far north of Scotland and it was effortless.

Have cancelled the XC90 and am sticking with the oil burner. SWMBO just shakes her head. But I know you lot will understand!

And anyway - you can't get your Volvo here

With a dose of "Man Maths" and "Man Logic" - this decision makes perfect sense.
