If the car has an alarm you can wire in an extra door contact switch behind the plates .

Hi, here in France plates are riveted to the car, so you got to drill them out. It is even required by law. Might be a solution |

I've seen some UK plated Jaguar sport cars that actually have the plate number painted on the front. Is that an option? It's hard to steal paint once it's been used. |

Afaik , once they changed the laws to have who made the plate also included on the license a lot of the sticker makers that used to supply them for e-types etc had to stop *

What I do with all my cars is fill the screws with aradite once you have tightened them. A chance then can't quickly unscrew them. The fronts can be pop riveted which is also a good detterant.

Fortunately for him he is in devon with the ex deputy coroner for leicestershire, so has a pretty good alibi if anything has happened over the last week.....and the car has been parked up outside the house of the assistant coroner for Derby since wed morning (somehow we know a lot of coroners) so if anything has happened then the cars whereabouts is noted well enough as it hasn't moved. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Thanks, Ian. I finally got the idea that letters represented model years and then they made the whole think a lot more confusing. |
