They put about 10% ethanol in most gas stations here...

I believe so Cliff. Around 10% I think. Makes us more eco friendly.

fill mine at the first garage I pass, Which is usually a texaco. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

On my 2004 4.4 I started on ordinary unleaded. One day there was none left and I took super unleaded. I thought the performance was noticeably better. I found I got maybe 10% better mpg on super unleaded which paid for the extra cost, so the better performance was a bonus. One time I was travelling up the A9 and had to take ordinary unleaded. With the cruise control at the same speed and the current mpg on the screen there was an immediate mpg reading reduction following that fill-up.

I continued with super diesel when I got the TDV8. I use ordinary diesel only very rarely, but when I have eg on Mull where there was nothing else, I found mpg much poorer, but the effect might be made worse by the stop/start driving on single track roads. A friend with a house in the Cairngorms reported that his Freelander stopped running during the very cold winter of 2010/11. The garage at Grantown said they had many such cases, with supermarket diesel being the common factor.

Finally, the handbook says that for towing one should use the best fuel available, LR would have no reason to say that if it didn't make a difference. Only Range Rovers since 1988
