Hi I have searched to resolve this problem but have been unable to find the answer.

Can someone advise me how to either disable the auto dim mirrors or fix them.

With the mirrors being dark all the time, night vision is somewhat difficult.

Is it still dimmed when the car is in reverse.

Driving everywhere in reverse is a pain though. (no i'm not being serious - and i understand why you're asking)

Have you tried a battery disconnect? - Bit of a long shot, but you know what our loveley FF's electrics are like!!

The mirrors clear when the car is put in reverse.

If I disconnect the battery will this cause any other problem? With such complex electrics I am reluctant to tinker and cause more headaches.

I will try driving in reverse today though this does gives me a stiff neck! ( Top Tip)

There is a comprehensive instruction in the Wik on the battery disconecti.

if you follow the process it should be fine. Just remember to turn the steering wheel lock to lock afterwards.

I have to do it occasionally when one of the electrical brains has a fart. (radio stuck on for example) If you do a search the battery disconect process is often recomended for strange electrical grmenlins.
