I use the eastern/Jewish pronouncement of Jeep, to be 'Yeep' but say it as 'Heap'

Well, that doesn't stop the French, the Germans, the Italians, etc from having male and female definite articles. Chairs, tables and sandwiches are all male (le, el, der) or female (la, das).
That could be a reason why I'm not very good at speaking foreign languages (some French and a little Spanish).
