Rattly old diesel is a great way to ruin one (but I think I'd look at the Mercedes engines if I had to). |

Craig Mobile Toilets, as they are 10 foot high and 8 foot wide the aerodynamics resemble a parashoot and then they tip the scales around 3 tons, and they eat TD6 gearboxes ![]() A TD5 will pull these loo's, just, BUT it is ECU controlled, and if I'm going to be faffing around doing all the bloody ECU stuff then I might as well dump in a TDV6 and have done with it. I really want to get away from having to plug it in and all the hassle that can come with that......... Lets face it the bloody computers argue with themselves in a car that left the factory.... what chance would I have if I were to try and integrate this in to a car that doesn't have any? For a kickoff the engine ECU talks to the Alarm ECU and the Gearbox ECU and the BCU.... If I ain't got them them I'm going to be in safe mode straight away  Admin note: this post has had its images recovered from a money grabbing photo hosting site and reinstated ![]() Inventor of the 'Guide-o-Matic automatic wheel alignment tool' Former long term L322 owner, Up/Down graded to a Classic Tractor! |

It must cost your local council a fortune to install these...

I thought portaloo’s were light as feathers Miggit? Our local “Andyloo’s” runs around with an L200 a 24ft custom built flatbed with about 30 loo’s or so on it! |

OK, I know this won't be popular here but if I was looking for a working vehicle, to tow, not cause me sleepless nights, not depreciate very much and to do inter galactic mileages before needing a spanner anywhere near it then it would be a Landcruiser Amazon for me, all day long....... 2006 4.2 SC

Then with such posh loo’s, why not buy a 4.4 TDV8 to tow them with & be done with it... |

Not sure where you have heard that from Miggit? I certainly do NOT concur with that statement... The 8sp box has been faultless in my experience, not heard one report of a failure yet...! |
