Odd acoustics in cab?

Brand new Autobiography, my third L405.
Something really odd...
When talking to passengers (they have noticed too) there is a slight "feedback" in your ears.
Rear seat passengers sometimes (but not always) have their voice played through the speakers in the front.
It's weird, disconcerting.
Anyone else noticed, or shall I get Mulder and Scully on the case?

I take it you then have the Meridian Audio system with Conversation Assist. Would think the system needs a bit tuning.

"This top Meridian system also integrates Conversation Assist. Using microphones located above each seating position, this feature channels passengers' voices through the audio system speakers, mixing music and speech volume accordingly, to enable clearer conversation."

Strange feature

For one it would freak me out slightly and secondly the L405 (in my opinion) is so well insulated cabin noise is never really an issue anyway

Your profile needs updating then Whistle

I agree that this sounds like a bizarre feature - I've never had difficulty having a conversation - but then again, I don't usually want to hear from my rear seat passengers Wink

This feature is not uncommon, VW uses it in their new transporter as well if I remember correctly. I have read about it. It seems that it needs some work on your car Badger Smile. MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !!

I had a Toyota Hiace Super Custom, which had a Joyful Talk system. Dash switch to turn it on/off override any other use of the speakers - all this in a 1996 vehicle - surely LR could have got it right by now?
Used a few times but the Toyota so well insulated from the rumble of the 3 litre turbo charged Diesel motor was rarely needed unless the A/C was on full.

Miss or Mrs or Ms MDX, wasn't it? She hasn't posted in a good while, so hopefully they finally got it sorted and she's off enjoying her car.
