I've never been happy with the foundry grey trims on the interior of the ff.
so I decided to bring them up to date a bit.

after a failed attempt to flat back the foundry grey, when sprayed with the grey plastic primer, it reacted with it.
So all of the foundry grey had to be removed, back to the bare plastic trim, then you can start to build up the layers.
I gave it a couple of coats of plastic primer, wet and dry with 2500 grit, then a good 3 coats of gloss black. I then left this to cure over night to make sure it had fully hardened. Then wet and dry with 3000 grit to remove all the glossy coat. It's time then for lacquer 2 to 3 coats should do it.
as most of you probably know, the primer and lacquer take a lot less time to harden, the gloss black must be given some time to set.
of course this is me with no spray booth or artificial heat, just a decent ambient temperature and my garden shed.

it suits me to be popping up the shed as wifey does a lot in the greenhouse this time of year, as long as I supply her with a coffee and place the pots and compost nearby keeps her occupied, she loves gardening, albeit, telling me where she wants things to be .
the result is worth it for me, but I do appreciate peeps reading this won't have the spare time it requires, for me along with this great forum it keeps my brain engaged and occupied, there are times when wifey is not altogether herself and there's only so much housework you can do,
Of course on good days i can attack the rr for a few hours at a time. Like new handbrake shoes that arrived yesterday, but that might be anothef post.

That looks good My door trims in the front are scratchd good option for me! I use Google translate, Sorry for my bad English...

don't forget, as mentioned above, you can swap the front with the rear, they are the same.
next on my list is the centre gear stick trim, I've got a new sticker from powerful uk in magnolia, will post when I get around to it.
The pain in the butt will be stripping all the dash down just to get at the sat nav trim, but that's a while away yet.
