2nd to 1st gear rollout thump is a known issue it can be dealt with with a software upgrade but it is a "feature " of the box and sometimes can't be totally eradicated the Land Rover technical bulletin is LTB00267, oh and Hi 2008 MY Supercharged

Try a battery reset sir... Usually fixes glitches like that! Make sure though, when you re-attatch the battery lead, you put it on once, not on, off, on, off, on, off! dabbing the terminal! That creates issues too sir
