Black or Grey?

So the search continues...

Originally had heart set on black but grey was always a second option.

One has come up in Corris with Ivory/Ebony with a reasonably nice spec. Contrast roof also which sets it off.

I intend on keeping the car for a period of around 1 year. So unfortunately resale is important!

What are members views on the 405 in Corris?

Take a look at Carpathian Grey. Subtle but expensive looking. I am biased though:

I would say grey would be slightly easier to keep looking clean Wink

Grey all the way!! Black looks great if you are like my neighbour and literally washes it every day. If you are slightly less anal grey looks great and is easier to live with every day. I've had three grey ones on the trot and just changed to a lighter metallic but would be more than happy to choose it again when I change next year.

Black or Grey- both colours to avoid for me, I liked my Red RR and I only bought this one a newer one because it was Ipanema Sand (my favourite colour) both had clear windows - another plus for me but not everyones cup of tea and of course both had light interiors, Ivory or whatever it is. Geoff

GREY GREY GREY ... for real-world use and eventually for re-sale.

Black can look fantastic but, is only good if you constantly clean you car religiously using the 2 bucket method and if the car is garaged. All the black cars I looked at (used) were always looking in the worst condition. Swirls marks were more visible on black as were scratches. My dealer said that increasing more buyers were considering grey for these reasons, and for re-sale thinks there is no difference in value.

My car, corris grey below .... but other greys like carpathian look great too.

I have a Corris Grey car. It is a really nice colour.

Black looks superb for about 30 seconds after you have cleaned it. After that, well, you need to clean it again. Corris looks presentable for longer.

There are a lot of black cars. That means they sell well but also that there are lots of cars that compete.

Pretty much all agreed then - black is the best colour Thumbs Up

I think both look great. And of course black harder to keep pristine I agree.

Couple of greys did come up recently. One in Causeway which looked great. But the segment of the market I am in, they seem to be selling straight away! So back to square one at the moment. Will keep looking...

^ That.

If you use it every day or it lives outside, definitely not black. On my first and last black car......lesson learned.
