I've noticed when I get into the car I can hear a rapid electronic ticking sound coming from the dash every so often. It sounds like one of those tills that produces paper receipts. Does it every 10 mins or so. I only noticed it today when I got in and sat waiting for my wife.
It's also got a constant hum without the key being in the ignition. Sounds similar to a fuel pump whine but lower. That keeps starting and stopping as well

the whinning is probly the air sus pump in the boot but it normally only comes on with ignition , have you got a EAS leak ? onto no6 Range Rover

These cars make ALL sorts of noises when the engine is switched off. Just take into consideration the myriad of electronic systems all being primed at the ready for when you want to drive off.
