Just a thought... the wiring loom in my centre console has the connector for the ashtray light, even though I don't have an ashtray. I was thinking about adding a light in the cubby box, maybe controlled by a push switch. Anyone tried that?

Can't say I've ever thought I needed one, the "ambient" LED's in the overhead console chuck eough light in there to see what I need to see...

Could use a microswitch or a mercury switch so that you don't forget to turn it off and flatten the battery...  Pete
