Constantly on reversing sensor

Hi all.

The reversing sensors would sound whenever reverse was selected - even when there was nothing behind.
The sound would only stop when the silencer button was pressed and when I checked the sensors as described in the forum all seemed ok. The only thing was that there was some bubbling of the paint over the metal - this was (carefully)scraped of with a flat bladed screwdriver and suddenly they work perfectly...... QUID FACIUM TIBI

works on sound waves so chances are with the bubbling it was just far enough off to bounce back a wave hence the continuous beep L322 2008 vogue

Thanks for that Spelunker Thumbs Up You've saved me a job.

I had a similar problem, sometimes the sensors worked fine sometimes continuous tone even though all sensors were clicking correctly.
I couldn't figure out whether to tackle the front or back first.
Just checked my sensors and found one on the front and one on the rear with surface paint bubbling.
Scrapped bubbling paint off both and flattened with emery and low and behold the sensors are now work correctly.
Hand painted them in and they now look as good as new. Cool
