I have today put down a deposit on yet another FFRR

Its a 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue se in grey (stornoway? orkney?), only had a quick test and drive but very happy with it. Not picking it up until next week


So, now the questions

1. Should my car have remote park heater? if not is it just a case of buying/synchronising a remote transmitter like my 05 Vogue se?
2. Are all 4.4 TDV8s 8 speed, because on the (hpi) vehicle check it says mine is 6 gears (got rotary selector/paddles)
3. Is it still worth doing a gearbox flush on the 8 speed (mine is coming up for 90k and i have done my previous D3/4s/RRs at around 100k
4.Do vogue se still have adaptive headlights as standard (previous 05 3.0d did, and my supercharged)
5. Will my car have the dual view screen
6. has anyone had a remap and would you recommend it?

Think it's a pretty much yes to all, apart from the headlights, although would it really need a remap??

Cheers Mr Tee . Had my previous 3.6 tdv8 remapped (rrs) and it was loads better. Only driven the 4.4 a short road test and was quite happy with the performance and just wondered if there was any significant gains to tweaking it?

Will get it booked in for a flush when i get it, and also see if the previous owner has a park heater fob (forgot all about it until i was on the way home)

Also forgot to check if it had the dual view front screen

Thats the thing with road tests, i go with a "check" list and end up being distracted by shiny things

Sounds like my first date with the wife.....'although the remap never happened!!

Mines not got cornering lights.

I do have remote heat though.... Think they all have dual view screen.

Won't have mine remapped - it's piggin epic as it is.....

The adaptive cruise control is very good, once you get used to it.

I got my hi fi to sound much better by turning off the Logic 7 - just a heads up for you to try out, if you like your tunes....

Not sure it has adaptive cruise? Never thought to check if it had dual view screen. No RSE unfortunately as the kids loved my supercharged for that. Got a feeling i will be happy with it without remapping. Will give you a shout for hi fi settings and see how it sounds

I'm only in Chesterfield, so feel free....

I think all the VSE's have adaptive cruise, and thus forward alert.......

The adaptive dampers are also very good, much less roll than my 2003 car.....

Not used the DAB radio much, but have used the USB to play MP3's.....

Undecided about the cooled seats, but prefer not to have gaps where the knobs would be on the dash.... 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

Had DAB in my D4 and loved it but spend more time listening to my iPod. Had ACC and forward alert on my RRS hst and when i got used to it i liked it. I am in Dinnington so not too far away  Paul

No dual screen in my 2011 VSE.

The usual rule of thumb is... The later the car was built, the less spec it will likely have as JLR took it all away gradually through 2011 & into 2012... Even 2012 AB cars don’t come with any great amount of electrical kit

If it has rear double glazing, it will be a later car

get the vin number Paul and enter it into the vincodez site (sorry cant provide link as on ipad). and you'll get the build sheet..

Thanks guys, will have a better idea when i pick it up (hopefully sooner rather than later). need to get a dog guard sorted ASAP so will be on the lookout for one when i pick it up

Cant believe the fuel economy! Mixed driving on the way home and half an hour stuck in traffic on the M1 and still averaged over 33mpg over 80 miles . Its almost cheaper than walking

Things i have discovered already-

doesn't have dual screen
Doesn't have adaptive headlights (at least i don't thing it has??)
No remote park heater fob so i am now on the lookout for one
needs a dog guard
needs rear window and rear side window tints removing and replacing (previous owners dog has clawed them to bits)
needs callipers cleaning up and painting (when i decide on colour)
Needs 2 new rear tyres (or possibly a set of 275/45/20s)
