Passenger side exterior door handle

I'm struggling to open the door on the passenger side on th ff. I had replaced the exterior door pull cable because that has snapped. This was 6-7 months ago. But as of recent I have to pull the handle as far out as it can go then the door opens. Which is extreme.
I know it's a door card off job, but if someone has experienced this could please assist.
This needs doing as the kids will snap the handle and say " Dad this is broken" Big Cry

Any ideas please.

It was purchased from adventure 4x4 if that is of any help. Are they good suppliers of lr parts
