I found the price varies between dealers.

Before purchasing, ask what year the update is from because the latest UK update is from 2014.....no idea when new version will be available.

I had the update done on my MY11VSE as part of the purchase deal and tbh did not notice any difference.

I would not pay anything ofr the upgrade as the sat nav is so poor-I just use Waze on a smartphone as it offers much more than the standard system.

i normally know where I'm going, in the UK there are very few new road projects so rarely does having the old version cause a problem

if I'm lost i use the tom tom in the centre cubby that i keep for special "being lost" occasions......used it once, in Lyon, so far....

Anyone know when the next Western Europe or U.K. Update is due?

the dvd based one for the 2005-2009 FF's wont be updated any more so i very much doubt there will be one for the hard drive versions.. ... - .- -.

^ Not official ones maybe.......I've seen a chap regularly advertise "aftermarket" update discs on various RR/LR Facebook pages. I'm not a fan of non-LR products for the FF but if they aren't going to supply them, it's only logical for people to source from elsewhere if possible.

agreed,the unofficial ones are available and i even have a download on my google drive but they are pirated and therefore cannot be linked here on the forum...
but back to the 2010-2012 update, well, there isnt one which is frustrating as i believe its the same system as the newer L405 which is updated via usb .... ... - .- -.
