does anyone know the location of this relay. Wipers keep freezing, am going crazy trying to find it....

The relay is in the back fuse box according to the parts catalogue. (Top Centre)
Part number YWB500210.

I am trying to get a picture , probably a screenshot, but struggling at present.
Will edit post if any progress.

would really appreciate a pic....all i can find is the location on pre-2010 models. Apparently for years 2010-11-12 it changed, but cannot find where they put it

thanx for the pic BB, but thats not it....the tag in my car says thats for the trailer electrics. The one i am trying to find is a brownish coloured relay....bigger than that one. I know in earlier models there was one behind the battery for the headlight wipers, and one behind the left front air duct in the dash....but not there for the 2010my onwards....the search continues

i think thats for the rear wiper, the front engine bay box has some relays as well..

I will re-check, but I searched "wiper relay front"

Stan....yeah...it looks like it could be those relays...am hoping so. My wipers are wiping up to 9 times when u just want to clear a bit of a drizzle, then the will stop anywhere throught the arc, car has to be switched off and restarted to get them working again

Right, don't want to burst your bubble, but I don't think it's that. I had the same issue and you will need to replace the wiper motor, and do it quick before they stop working altogether....

The park microswitch fails. When working as they should - When you put them on, they wipe and when they get to the bottom of the screen (park) a signal is sent to the control unit asking if they should stop wiping, if so, the motor is told to stop. When it's bust, it never realises it's at park, so doesn't ask if it needs to stop.....

It worked for a bit after banging the motor with a hammer handle.....

thanx for that mjd.....interesting reading. Have ordered the relays as a first resort...they are cheap enough. lets hope.......

grrrrrrr!!! the saga continues. Replaced the relays...looks like mjd was correct....no luck, still doing their own thing. Windscreen wiper motor next. Does anyone know how difficult it is to pull the wiper motor?

When you buy a new motor, it comes with a complete new wiper linkage and spindles....

....but my garage bent 2 pullers trying to get my wiper arms off the spindles.... in the end they disconnected the new motor from the new linkage and attached it to the old linkage in the car. Don't think it's hard to do, just fiddly.
