Installation here must be done by a qualified gas fitter and the install is tested every year at the annual roadworthy inspection. The car is then fitted with a certification plate.

Cheaper road tax for one LPG vehicles used to be London congestion charge exempt, but they stopped it in 2012. But expect it to be re-instated in the near future, plus as and when other cities start to introduce pollution/congestion charges LPG certified/registered vehicles will all be exempt, but the vehicles will have to be registered on your logbook as dual fuel vehicles. |

Congestion charge is not really an issue, I always use public transport to go into town or my works van that has the CC covered.

It's £5 a year cheaper for RFL, a certification, if he could get one, would cost more than 10 years worth of discount...!!!

£5 or £10, my point is still valid, hardly a reason to spend serious money on getting the system certified....

I have many LPG installs on various vehicles, I have a 1976 relaint robin trike, when I insured it i told them it would soon be running LPG they took my money, so a few weeks after rang to confirm the LPG and low and behold they wanted a certificate, after many discussions with them they agreed if I was to have a fresh MOT done on the trike they would accept the LPG being of a good standard
