There's quite a bit out there on bluetooth, but couldn't find anything specific to outgoing audio so I thought I'd ask the question.

Had truck 3 weeks and not been able to make calls because outgoing audio sounds like its encrypted.

It has the logic 7 touch screen with latest pairing code and displays the address book (Single Line).

pairs when you unlock and makes calls faultlessly, but whoever you phone gets garble speech.

Iphone 6 being used but also tried HTC1 and Iphone 5.

My local LR specialist (Not Dealer) said it needs an SW upgrade, but Bluetooth exchange recon it sounds like faulty hardware.
Voice commands are accepted and work so mic is ok.

I want to keep HF functionality, so it may just be a case of replacing the Bluetooth module, but before I do, has anyone experience corrupt audio only on the system that has been corrected with an SW upgrade?

Mine would call out but when answered there was nothing. I updated my software with the iid tool, my bt module is the one that can't be exchanged, but the iid tool did it.
the only downside is, the steering wheel functions to scroll the phone book menu up and down don't work, but the answer, listen button does.
I'm really pleased with it, although I don't use it for business like some of the guys on here.

I'll see if BT Exchange will update the sw on mine to start with, although he recons its a hd issue, but its probably worth trying and certainly cheaper than replacing outright @ £290 L4L. The later updated version is quoted at £240 for some reason.

Out of interest did you run your motor without the BT unit connected? just wondering if it will fault in any way?

i dont think you can just unplug the BT unit, you have to bridge the fibre connection in to out if you disconnect it. this can be done in a temporary fashion with a Bic biro tube like this

should just then take the BT mode out of the system with the rest of the stuff working as it should while you get the unit reprogrammed.  There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Yes that makes sense, when you realize multiple optical devices in this instance are in series.

I've noticed with the upgrade BT units that are being offered, it only seems to use the optical and power connection. Am I right to assume (no pun intended) most of the wired connections in the most plug are probably for the phone conn in the centre console?
