annyway, i think it is possible to have some brackets made up that can then be bolted to the carriers i already have in place, using both the existing holes in the frame and the bolt etc that came with the dummies;

Defiantly.... all the Writter tow bars that I've come across have 2 lumps of angle iron down the chassis and then a cross member bolt across them with the hook attached... makes it a very long job to conceal them, which is why you see so many sporting tow bars even if they aren't towing.. Unlike the Westfalia version used by Land Rover, which to the untrained eye looks as if there is no tow bar when they are in stealth mode |

well i guess it would be too expensive to buy the center section, and pointless really as i dont want th towing facility anyway, and probably wouldent have the 2 towing eyes which is where the dummies are designed to bolt on, so i think the brackets to existing are the route to go, and also saves taking the bumper off and breaking the side clips in the process probably

ACTUALLY, something i never considered miggit, yes perhaps that should be certainly considered; i will give it some thought, my only concern is that it seems almost a dead cert that the clips will break when pulling the side of bumper away from the wing, ? and looking at the video from powerful, it looks like simon actually breaks the side of the tabs on the bumper itself, ? so how would you get over that,!! would the bumper still go back together ok ??

just don't do it on a cold day, and if your worried warm it up with a hair dryer or the like, far more likely to brake if it's cold and brittle |
